The deepest well arrived at 1,001. 42m (TD) in 1835. Besides Sichuan, many provinces were also rich in rock salt deposites,such as Hubei, Hunan, Shanxi, Shandong, Qinghai, Jiangxl, Xizang, Xinjiang and Jiangsu,etc.In recent years, through exploration drilling, there are two rock salt mine were discovered In Huaian and Jintan counties of Jiangsu province, total 17 wells and 20, 15lin were drilled,which involved 4, 947m wireline core drilling. The average well depth is i, 237m and the maxinluTn depth is 1, 350in.According to the features of rock salt drilling,the following drilling techniques were adopted:(1 ) Well structure: ~20/30m, set with 219mm casing;-440/520m, set with 127mm casing ( 108mm casing used in some complicated conditions); --1, 200/1, 350m,drilling with AX WL tool.(2)Drilling equipment: XY-1500 hydraulic spindle drill, BW-320 mud pump.(3)WL system: S-75 WL tool (inner tube 6. 37m long), SSDR NX70/62 and Sty71/60WL shrill rods.(4)Core bits: ac 78mm and 80mm, TSAAA natural diamond bits, surface set with 7stepped design.(d)Drilling fluids:the Carson Model Rheological Fluids were adopted. Dentonite mud fluid was'used in non-salt formations and saturated solutions with NaCI were used in salt-bearing format ic us.While the above techniques were adopted, excellent results were achieved as following:(l )penetration rate: 724m/rig. month; (2)core recovery: 90%; (3)bitlife: 767m/set; (4)WL fishing success rate: 97. 8%; (5)core recovery and quality were raised, costs and troubles were decreased obviously.

江苏省地矿局近几年来在金坛、淮安两大盐田开展钻探工作,用绳索取心钻进4947m,平均孔深1237m,采取相应的技术措施,取得了显著效果:钻探台月效率达724m;岩心采取率达90%以上;钻头寿命767m/个;绳索取心成功率达97.8%;使效率、质量增高,成本、事故率明显下降。

Basic characteristics of Tertiary composite salt formations in Tarim basin and its damage to drilling engineering are discussed. Through drilling practise of Dongqiu Well 5 # concerning drilling measures of composite salt formations are summarized.

论述了塔里木盆地第三系复合盐层的基本特征及对钻井工程的危害;通过东秋五井的钻井实践,总结出一套复合盐层钻井技术措施。
