The swelling behavior of modified films in water was followed and the surface structure of the films was observed by scanning electron microscope.All the results showed that this kind of photo-induced grafting occured successfully in alkaline medium. The reason of the alkaline effect was discussed briefly.

Photo-induced grafting polymerization of acrylamide (AAM) onto polyetherurethane (PEU) was studied with benzophenone (BP) as sensitizer under irradiation of 365 nm. The effects of irradiation time, concentrations of monomer and sensitizer on the grafting yield were investigated. The formatioin of graft copolymer was verified by its water absorption % and the scanning electron microscopy photographs. Some model compounds of PEU soft segment and hard segment were used to clarify the graft reaction mechanism, which was proposed to involve the hydrogen abstraction by excited triplet BP from a-carbon of the polyether segment and from nitrogen of the hard segment. The produced radicals then initiate the graft polymerization.

Sodium 6-sulfohexyl acrylate (SSHA) and acrylamide (AAM) were grafted onto segment polyether urethane (SPEU)films under UV light irradiation with benzophenone as photosensitizer. The effect of the structure of monomers and the reaction conditions on the grafting yield was obvious. The formation of graft copolymer was verified by solubility, water absorption and the scanning electron microscopy photographs of the grafted films. In order to clarify the grafting site, graft copolymerization of AAm onto the model compounds of SPEU hard segment and soft segment was investigated. The chemical composition of the graft copolymer was examined by NMR, IR and elemental analysis. The experimental results showed that the grafting sites appear to be at nitrogen of amino group and α-carbon of ether linkage and ester group.

以二苯酮作光敏剂,在紫外光照射下,引发亲水性单体:丙烯酸己磺酸钠,丙烯酰胺接枝于聚醚氨酯膜上。单体结构与反应条件对接枝率均有影响。接枝后膜的溶解性、吸水率以及表面形态比接枝前有显著变化。以二苯酮作光敏剂将丙烯酰胺接枝于聚醚氨酯硬段与软段模型化合物的研究结果表明,氨基甲酸酯中氨基氮上的氢,酯基中以及醚键旁α碳上的氢均可被提取,成为接枝点。
