A new method for the extraction of tea-polypbenols (TP ) from tea using AlCl3 as precipitating agents was proposed. Compared with tbe traditional extraction method using organic solvents, it is shown that the new method is simple and can be operated easily. Adsorbing resin R-A was applied to recover naphthoquinone pigments in Lithosper-mum erythrorhizon cell cultures. Compared with traditional extraction, better effect was ob-tained:the comsuption of organic solvent was saved, process was made easier,and the costs ofdownstream treatment were cut down greatly.
