The temperature spectra of the dynamic mechanical properties of polydimethylsi-loxane-polymethyl phenylsiloxane block copolymers with different block length of polydimethylsiloxane and polyblend which has the same chemical composition as block copolymer, were determined over a temperature rang from -150°to 100℃ by using the vibrating reed method in audio frequencies. The influence of the block length, block copolymer and polyblend on the shape of the loss peaks are discussed.

It has been found out that:(1) The average b value of the same material is nearly the same, and even comparatively stable to the different developments of the quakes. (2) As for the limestone with the same chemical composition, the average b value has a close relation with the strength of the rock fracture. (3) The total amount of the creep and the creep rate released by the microfracturcs also have a close relation with the rock fracture. (4) Media with the coordinate brittlcncss (such as rosin, granite, and so on) have ncarlyrthe same average b value.(5) with regard to the large earthquakes occurred recently in our country, the average b value and the creep rate before them arc related to the magnitude of the quakes, but are not to be seen so after the quakes.
