Cracking mechanism is explored of WC based high Mn steel-bonded carbide which is composed of w(WC) 75%~90%,w(Mn):w(C)≥10, w(Ni)3.0%~5.0% and Fe balance. Based on magnetic measurement, X-ray diffraction energy spectrum analysis and electron microscope scanning, it is confirmed that change of composition and metallographic structure are responsible for the brittleness and work-unhardening for magnetic alloy, while the nonmagnetic alloy has evident work-hardening effect. Further research result shows that the magnetism is stronger for the alloy with coarser grain WC, so magnetism could be regarded as an index to judge the usability of the alloy.

对成分为:w(WC)=75.0%~90.0%,w(Mn):w(C)≥10,w(Ni)=3.0%~5.0%,w(Fe)为余量的合金进行了脆性断裂的机理研究。通过对合金的磁性测量、X射线衍射能谱、金相显微镜和断口电镜扫描等的分析,发现有磁性的合金其内部化学成分发生了变化,导致其组织结构发生变化,脆性增大,无加工硬化;而无磁性的合金具有明显的加工硬化。进一步的研究还发现,磁性强弱与WC晶粒的大小有关,晶粒粗大的磁性强,从而可以认定,磁性可作为该类合金适用性的一种表征值。

应用烧结加热等静压和烧结-热等静压两种工艺制备了粗晶WC-15Co、WC-22Co和微晶WC-12Co-1Cr3C2、中等晶粒WC-12Co硬质合金,从原理、经济性论述了这两种工艺的差异及其对WC-Co硬质合金组织和性能的影响。结果表明,烧结-热等静压制作的硬质合金孔洞消除了,并且硬质合金的抗弯强度和弯曲疲劳寿命也大幅度提高。
