The method and condition of obtaining optimal raman spectra by means of liquid-core optical fiber are described. Spectral intensity enhancement by factors of 102 to conventional sample techniques has been obtained with the liquid-core optical fiber. The loss ooeffoient in the fiber were calculated by measuring the stokes line intensity.

Spectral intensity enhancement by factors of 102 to conventional sampling techniques has been measured. Pre-resonance Raman spectra of a -picolines has been observed by using 1 0 mW laser excitation at longer wavelengths (514. 5 nm, 488. 0 nm and 454. 5 nm).
