According to the development characteristic and water plugging current situation of Renqiu buried hill reservoir in high water cut period,the principle of well selection and the countermeasure of coming water plugging is presented.Since 1995 the measures taken for water plugging in accordance with various reservoir and well conditions are introduced.12 wells were under construction,efficiency is 100%,incremental oil has 1.11×10 4 t/a, average incremental oil has 1116t per well.It has been pointed out that these measures for water plugging,replugging and well cementing may plug main water productive fractures,control water cut raising,and slow down the production decline.In order to increase plugging agent volume and plugging radius,wells having better succedent oil bearing intervals should be selected.After water plugging these wells are able to keep considerable fluid production.The contamination of oil bearing fractures due to water plugging can be removed by acidization,then these fractures are replugged by organic methods.

Started off with reviewing structure, reinforced the reservoir per formance monition, researched the remaining oil distribution in many ways, and made the comprehensive adjustment adapted geologic property in time, that has continuously made the decline rate of annual yield less than 8 % and the watered escalating rate less than 2%. It is a reference example for complex fault-block oilfield to control water cut and stabi lize oil production in high water cut stage.
