The Melnikov method is used to study the global bifurcation behavior, the critical parameter is determined at which the dynamical system possesses a Smale horseshoe type of chaos.
      


For a class of nonlinear parametrically excited viberation systems-Euler's ZIG model in nonlinear mechanics, by using the qualitative method, we study its periodic and chaotic motion. We reduce this system to a perturbed Hamiltonian system. So we obtain the conditions of bifurcations of limit cycles and subharmonic solutions in the parameter space. We also establish the existence of chaotic solutions of Smale horseshoes type.

本文用定性分析方法研究在纵向简谐激励、非线性阻尼和联结质量惯性力作用下的欧拉弯曲问题,通过变量和参数变换,使数学模型化为Hamilton扰动系统,从而可以精确地研究系统的极限环分支和次谐分支,并获得smale马蹄型浑沌解的参数区域。

In this paper, we study the dynamical behaviour exhibited by the cylinder differential equation subject to different perturbations. The sufficient conditions of the existence of chaotic behaviour and subharmonic bifurcaion hypersubharmonic bifurcation are obtained. The routes relevant to horseshoes type chaos are also discussed.
