In this paper a procedure is developed for the design of contraction ducts, using solutions based on separation of variables for the stream function equations of incompressible axisymmetrie potential flow.A new type of axial velocity distribution function is suggested. Under a wide range of contraction ratios, this function can be used to greatly reduce the length of ducts and provide a high quality of flow, such as small adverse pressure gradient near the wall at entrance, uniformity and parallelism of the flow at exit and freedom from separation in the whole flow field, etc.By using this method, a shallow octagonal form contraction duct of a wind tunnel with contraction ratio 13.025 was designed, built and tested. Theoretical calculations are compared with test results, they show good agreement. In the present case the adverse pressure gradient is so small that no perceptible region of separation is observed. The velocity distribution at entrance, exit or on the wall is perfectly satisfactory. The maximum non-uniformity in the exit velocity distribution is less than 0.4%.

本文根据不可压轴对称(及平面)势流场内存在可分离变量形式的流函数解,提出了一种新的轴向速度分布函数,在很宽的收缩比条件下有效地缩短了管道长度,并保证了管道入口附近管壁上逆压梯度很小,出口截面上的气流均匀性与平行性较优,在流场内气流不发生分离.应用本文方法计算的曲线建造了有扁八角形收缩段的模型风洞,收缩比为13.025.理论计算与实验结果符合较好.实验结果表明:在这种情况下逆压梯度很小,未观察到可见的分离区,在入口、出口及壁面上速度分布满意,出口处最大速度不均匀度小于0.4%.

Single angle members are commonly used in trusses, joists, and other types of structures. According to the loading condition, single angle members in compression can be classified as two following categories. One is concentrically loaded angles and the other is eccentrically loaded angles with connection in one leg only.In this paper a finite element method which takes into account the effects of residual stresses, initial crookedness and end restraints provided by gusset plates is used to obtain ultimate strength solutions for compression members of both categories.The strength of simply supported and warping restrained angles with equal or unequal legs and subjected to concentrical load is first presented in the form of column curves. The results show that the strength of unequal leg angles (on a non-dimensional basis) is lower than that of equal leg angles.Numerical calculations also have been carried out for equal and unequal leg angles and the results are compared with test results.Finally, by the use of the concept of effective length as adopted in the codes of some other countries'a family of column curves for eccentrically loaded equal or unequal leg angles with connection in one leg only is given. For convenience of designer, the effective length factor is taken as the parameter for these curves.

本文扼要介绍了如何用有限单元法分析轴心受压单角钢和单面连接单角钢压杆的极限承载能力.经与试验结果相比,证明理论计算有较好的精确性。应用这个方法,得出了轴心受压等肢和不等肢角钢的δ—λ曲线和单面连接等肢和不等肢角钢压杆的δ—λ曲线,可供设计使用.本文还对钢结构设计规范的计算方法进行了评述.
