To meet the future stringent standards of exhaust emissions and low fuel consumption,the PNP(pump nozzle pipe)system was investigated in what potential it has under the restriction without exhaust gas aftertreatment.The testing results were presented on a pressure charged single cylinder DI diesel engine by changing swirl ratios,nozzle parameters and combustion chambers.The results showed that the combustion system with PNP fuel injection system combining with low swirl ratio could meet the requirements of exhaust emissions EURO II standards but already was limited at upper zone of the standards.

在不采用废气后处理装置的前提下,研究了柴油机采用直列泵系统是否能够满足严格的排放法规和低燃油消耗量的要求。报告了在一台模拟增压中冷的单缸四气门直喷式柴油机上采用高喷射压力的直列泵,改变涡流强度、喷孔尺寸、喷孔数与燃烧室形状等参数时,对柴油机性能影响的试验研究结果。结果表明,用直列泵结合低涡流的燃烧系统满足现行的排放法规是可行的,但已达到了极限。若排放法规进一步严格,则需要增加辅助措施。

This paper presented testing results for an electronically controlled unit injector with 200 MPa injection pressure made by Lucas,which was applied to a single cylinder DI engine imitated with turbocharged and intercooled system.It was illustrated that the EUI has the characteristics of easily adjustable injection timing and ultra high injection pressure and make a contribution to achieving rather low particulate emissions and fuel consumption when it worked on the quiescent combustion chamber.The testing results also showed that the combustion system with the EUI has the potential to meet the EURO Ⅱ exhaust emissions standards for heavy duty truck diesel engine without using aftertreatment,but the characteristic which the EUI injection pressure overdid to rely on the engine revolution needs to be improved in the future.

WT10.5,10.]The effects of injection pressure,injection nozzle type and diameter and number of injection nozzle holes on performance and exhaust emissions of a naturally aspirated, automotive and direct injection diesel engine 6110 were studied. However, the sufficient fuel injection pressure can only be set up by the strong enough pressure source(injection pump)and small enough total area of injection nozzle orifices under the allowable injection duration. The experimental results show that increasing injection pressure and incorporating an injection nozzle with VCO more holes and small hole diameter are helpful for the 6110 diesel engine to meet EURO Ⅰ emission limits without penalty of power performance and fuel economy.

针对自然吸气式车用6110 型直喷柴油机,研究了喷油压力、喷油嘴类型、喷油嘴孔径和喷油嘴孔数对直喷柴油机的性能和排放的影响。试验结果表明,提高喷油压力、采用VCO多孔数小孔径喷油嘴更有利于6110 型柴油机在动力性、经济性不恶化情况下满足欧洲Ⅰ排放法规
