The stoichiometry of the synthesis from CO and H_2 is studied. By performing carbon, hydrogen and oxygen balances around an overall chemical equation, a number of stoichiometric equations relating the various reaction criteria have been obtained. Two of them are given as follows: c=1/3(2-u+m+e_1+d), and K=COx(3-4c+δ). where c, m, e_1=moles of CO_2, CH_4 and C_2H_6 formed per mole of CO converted, respectively; K=volume contraction, per cent; x=CO conversion, per cent; u=H_2/CO usage ratio; CO=volume fraction...

The stoichiometry of the synthesis from CO and H_2 is studied. Various applications of the deduced stoichiometric relationships are described, including methods of testing the consistency of synthesis data, a thorough discussion of the significance of reaction criteria and examples to illustrate the use of the derived equations in certain process computations and in correlation of experimental data. For the calculation of contractions, additional formulas are derived to supplement the work of Bashkirov and of Rapoport.

The experiments and theoretical studies in this paper show that the opencircuit voltage of source has influence on the D. C arc characteristic. The opencircuit voltage of source has a great influence on the total pressure, thus influence the arc flow-off pressure; it also influences the heat transferred to the translative anode. It has been proved by experimental and theoretical studies that the principal cause of the open-circuit voltage of source influencing the D. C. arc characteristic is that the different open-circuit voltages of source make the D. C. arc has different alternating current components. The three-phase all wave silicon rectifier welding set has been used in the experiments. For the present, this kind of source is widely used in the theoretical studies and industrial practice so that the results obtained in this paper could be used in various applications.

Because of continuous developing of the complexity of computer architecture and computer applications, the performance evaluation for computer systems is rapidly developed, and it becomes one of the important reseach domains of computer science. It seems to us that the main objective to study system performance evaluation is to enable us to design computer systems more efficiently, and to enhance cost-effective and to facilitate various applications. This paper summarizes developments of system performance evaluation, then describes in detail three major methods for evaluation: analysis, simulation and measurement as well as their applications by way of examples. Some kinds of view points are presented by the authors of this paper.
