In this paper, with regard to the real structural shapes of superconducting di-poles with air cored windings of '' saddle coil'' type, the criteria, which can eliminate a number of specified harmonic components in order to obtain the magnetic field with fixed homogeneity, are presented. The mathematical model of the criteria usually a group of transcendental simultaneous equations. There has been no analytical solution. By way of linearization it can be changed into a group of linear simultaneous equations....

The mathematical model of the criteria usually a group of transcendental simultaneous equations. There has been no analytical solution. By way of linearization it can be changed into a group of linear simultaneous equations. Then it can be solved by using the numerical method so as to obtain the rational geometrical parameters of the windings. Furthermore the formulae to estimate the inhomogeneity of magnetic field are also given in this paper.Finally, some tables of data and some graphes, which are obtained by calculating the practical examples, are given to check the accuracy of the results.

According to the RKR theory, the fairly accurate small-signal gain in the CO -Laser operating is calculated using the numerical method in this paper.
