The testing result in two years showed that the effect of typicalness in corn and sorghum hybrids on yield was significant. The main factor with which the untypical plant effect the yield was the difference among the type of untypical plants. The testing result in two years showed that the effect of typicalness in corn and sorghum hybrids on yield was significant. The average results in two years showed that the single ear weight of the untypical plant in corn was less than that of typical plant by 62.7%, while in sorghum by 60.9%. But according to the percent of untypical plants the estimated decrease of yiel was much less than the actual decrease. The fact is caused by "potential untypical plants" which are very difficult to identify in external appearnce. These potential untypical plants resulted in the decrease of individual productivity of typical plant since decreasing typicalness in hybrid. Thus, the generations of stock reproducing should be limited, the inpurity prevented and the typicalness maintained in hybrid seed production. The testing result showed that the current seed grading standard inour country is probable reasonable. The difference of price betweenseed grade should be increased properly, so as to promote the production of higher typicalness in hybrid seed.

On the basis of synchronous elongation law of the leaf, leaf sheath and internode of the rice, the relationship between exogenic-gibberellin effect and the elongation of internode and sheath were studied in CMS line Zhenshan 97. The result showed that: (1) The elongation of the 1 st internode from the apex responsed slowly to gibberellin application before heading. The result showed that: (1) The elongation of the 1 st internode from the apex responsed slowly to gibberellin application before heading. From heading, day to three days latter, its elongation was quite clear. So, the author suggested that in hybrid rice seed production and CMS line multiplication the best time for using gibberellin should be at one day before heading for single ear and at a time when the population is with 30--40% heading for field application. (2) The elongation of the 2nd internode from the apex was sensitive to gibberellin during the heading time. Generally the effect can be seen one day after gibberellin application. So, the earlier the gibberellin is used, the better the effect will be. However the elongation is useless for heading. (3) The flag leaf sheath length affects heading. Its length≤25cm is favorable for ear appearance of Zhenshan 97A. If it is too long, it is necessary to increase the application frequency and concentra- tion of exogenic gibberellin.

根据水稻叶片、叶鞘、节间同伸规律理论,研究了珍汕97A的倒一节间、倒二节间和穗、倒一叶鞘.倒三节间两组同伸器官的伸长规律与GA效应的关系。 (1)倒一节间出穗前对GA反应迟缓,出穗当天至出穗后第3天反应敏感,效应极显著。单穗于出穗前一天喷施,倒一节间的总效应最佳。群体最佳喷施期是出穗率30~40%。 (2)倒二节间出穗前后(主要伸长期终止前)对GA反应都敏感,喷后第一天即产生显著效应。出穗前数天是茎的生长中心,喷施越早,总效应越大,但该节间的伸长无助于出穗。 (3)倒一叶鞘长度显著影响出穗效果。珍汕97A的倒一叶鞘长度25厘米有利于颖花抽出,达到不剥苞目的。叶鞘过长时宜增加GA浓度和施用次数。

本文对小麦开花习性进行了比较系统的观察。小麦从抽穗到开始开花,一般需4~6天,单穗开花的天数为3~4天。开花最多的时间是开花后的第二天,占总开花数的一半以上,开花的顺序很有规律性,呈波浪式,由内向外扩展。小麦昼夜均能开花,但晚间的开花数甚少,仅占9%右左。白天开花出现两次高峰,第一次在上午10~12时,高峰明显,第二次在下午4~6时,不甚明显。
