This paper reports polycondensation of o, o: catecholdiacetic acid with trioxymethylene under influence of polyphosphoric acid to form a resin with adsorption for potassium ion. Factors affecting the properties of the resin, such as molecular proportion, temperature and time of reaction etc., were investigated.
