A linear analysis on interfacial stability is performed for the fluid-fluid reacting interface of a mone-fluctuating species. The system uniform reference state in space is that of rest. The study is confined to aperiodic regime. For the case where no feedback loop is present in the chemical reaction scheme, unstable mechano-chem-ical regimes are induced possibly by the competition between interfacial chemical and convective processes. The qualitative behavior of the solutions for the dispersion equation is discussed and new conditions for stability are obtained.

The difference of the turbulent transport phenomena between the fluid-solid interface and fluid-fluid interface, and its influence to the derivation of heat and mass transfer correlations are discussed.Semi-theoretical methods are introduced for three-dimension turbulent transport processes, such as mixing tank and bubble column. Preliminary heat and mass transfer correlations can be derived from the semi-theoretical analysis, which will be very helpful to obtain the correct transport correlations with less experimental work.Both the theoretical and semi-theoretical analysis can help us to get better understanding of the transport mechanism in the equipment, which may lead us to find out the way to improve the transport process.
