It is shown that the best stirring condition is a melt with 40-60% solid phase. A method for accurate controlling this apt proportion of solid phase in the melt is proposed. Experiments shown that this simple timecon- -trolling method is workable, Stirring is done under vacuum condition. The optimum stirring speed is 1800 r,p.m,for 10 min. In the second part of this paper, the production of Al-Si 8%-graphite 6% composite is discussed. Tests shown that a composite with an even distribu- tion of graphite can be obtained With a graphite content up to 20% by wt. Spectral pure graphite powder is used, 70% of the grains are within the range of 0.1-0.3mm , The powder is evenly spread over the surface of the melt. The bearing quality of this composite material is tested with a composite sleeve running against a steel shaft with a load of 6 kg/cm2, at a linear speed of 1.2m/sec for 14 hrs under lubricating condition. Wear out for the composite is 0.020g, which is about 20 times better than that of Al-Si 8% alloy(0.391g). The wearability and coefficient friction of this Al-graphite composite is 0. 020g and 0.009 respectively, which is comparable with ZQSn 6-6-3 bronze (0. 021, 0,009). Tests also shown that the Al-graphite composite has very good damping capacity, which is comparable with gray cast iron. Owing to its lightness, its damping rate/density ratio is many times higher than that of gray cast iron.

This paper deals with the properties, the construction, the airtightness and the mechanism of a new composite material used for digesters. The results show that wollastonite fibre is highly alkali resistant and its reinforcing effect on cement is great. It is found that the airtight composite material for digesters prepared in our research is cheap in price and obviously high in airtightness. By using this composite material, the collection ratio of methane can be greatly promoted.

本文对以硅灰石纤维增强水泥为基层,聚合物胶乳水泥为表层的沼气池新型气密复合材料的性能、施工、气密效果及气密机理进行了研究。试验证明:硅灰石纤维有很强的耐碱性,对水泥有明显的增强效果。研究出的沼气池气密复合材料价格便宜、气密效果十分显著,可大幅度提高沼气收集率。
