As the alloy is exposed at elevated temperature for a long time, the titanium-rich γ' transforms to HCP η phase. The orientation relationship between this phase and matrix follows {0001}η//{111}γ,<1210>//<110>. The η phase transformed from γ' is brittle at room temperature, consequently the strength and tensile ductility of the alloy at room temperature are reduced.
