Cinnamomum tenuipilum Kosterm is a kind of chemical types which rich in linalool.Primally aroma distinguish of fresh leaf and cultivated in the Xisuangbanna Tropical Botanic Carden, Academia Sinica have showed that 68% plants of sexual progenies can maitain their maternal linalool feature. The essential oil content from 2 to 3 years old fresh leaves is 1.31% to 2.03 %, in which 86% to 97% is the major linalool compound. Therefore,C.tenuipilum may be a new perfume plant with economic potentiality.
