The difference between RAM with double ports and common RAM is the RAM with double ports has two addresses, data and control line,so it allows two CPUs or controls to access the memory,arbitration logic decides which CPU can access the RAM with double ports. RAM with double ports has wide application in modern electronic systems.
This paper introduces design of LED large screen display system based on Cyclone EP1C6 and SPCE061A. With the double ports RAM and scan control based on FPGA, the system successfully solves some problems in traditional LED large screen design, such as the complexity of control system and poor reliability.
