The dynamic mechanical properties and thermal expansion behavior of VTPU/PS copolymer networks were measured by means of Rheovibron viscoelastometer and linear dilatometer. And the effect of sol component on the compatibility between the two component polymers and their thermal expansion behaviors were also studied. The experimental results show that the VTPU/PS copolymer is a partially compatible two phase polymer system which possesses two glass transition temperatures (Tg1 and Tg2).The presence of sol component in VTPU/PS copolymer networks can improve the compatiblity between the two polymers ( VTPU and PS ) . The VTPU/PS copolymer networks containing 10% of sol component possess excellent mechanical damping properties, and the contraction of thermal expansion curves at Tg2 disappears.
