The feeder automation technology which based on the feeder terminal unit (FTU) is a key technology and the core content of distribution network automatization, and it realizes all the distribution network real-time monitoring by FTU, communication network and coordinated operation of power distribution automatization master station system.
Along with the power market reform and the development of computer technology, main station system of electric energy measurement system has been developed the system that becomes the distributed system based on mutt - layer structure. Since the complexity of the system, to establish a software platform and to develop the application of electric energy on this platform are the specific requirements for the main station of new generation of electric energy measurement system.

This paper adopts Profibus-DP field bus technology . The single master system is made of S7-PLC which is primary master,TP170B which is second master and intelligent instrument with the interface of Profibus-DP which is slave.
Based on the on-site experience of 220 kV power network in Jiangsu Province and Fujian Province, this paper mainly discusses the master system with respect to the hardware platform architecture, the software platform architecture and the function design.
