The effects of hyperthermia(40 0℃,42 0℃,43.5℃,45.0℃)and hydroxyl camptothecinum(CPT)(1.0mg/L,2.0mg/L,4.0mg/L)on bladder tumor cells were studied in vitro. Killing effect to the tumor cells was observed with either of them and when used combinedly the effect was much strengthened.
The efficiency in treatment of the 19 cases with radiofrequency hyperthermia ablation was 89.4%, The efficiency in treatment of the 8 cases with HIFU was 87.5%, and no death or any serious complications were observed.
Objective To explore the treatment mechanism of HSP70-peptides complexes (HSP70-PC) derived from autologous tumor after heated by non-invasive pelvic cavity regional moderate hyperthermia, we applied the protein to rats containing orthotopic bladder tumor.
The influence of radio-frequency hyperthermia on pathological change and expression of PSA of prostatic tissue:preliminary results of hyperthermal mechanism
The clinical report of the follow-up of radiofrequency thermotherapy and α_(1A) adrenoceptor antagonist for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia
After intravesical thermotherapy with herba rabdosia rubescens liquid, the percentage of CD +_4T cells and the ratio of CD +_4/CD +_8 increased obviously, while the serum SIL-2R level decreased significantly( P <0.05).
The results revealed that simple hot water bath has no obvious cytocidal effect on the carcinoma cells (P>0.05) while microwave radiation has been cytocidal, being stronger at higher temperatures (P<0.01).
96 cases are followed up for 6 to 12 months, 1 cases from thermal treatment group recurred, 3 cases from injection group relapsed, 3 cases from combined treatment group had another attack.
Quercetin completely inhibited the synthesis and intracellular accumulation of 70-kD heat shock protein (HSP70) in response to hyperthermia or to treatment with sodium arsenite, whereas dihydroquercetin in the same or higher doses had no such effect.
This review compares high- and lowenergy transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT) and transurethral needle ablation (TUNA) of the prostate with TURP in clinical efficacy and safety.
This review article discusses microwave thermotherapy as such an option and reports the long-term experience with the CoreTherm (CoreTherm Operations AB, Sweden) device.
A total of 95 patients suffering from prostatic symptoms due to benign hyperplasia (BPH) and scheduled for surgery elected to participate in a clinical trial of local hyperthermia therapy to the prostate.
A total of 114 patients suffering from prostatic symptoms due to benign hyperplasia (BPH) and scheduled for surgery elected to participate in a clinical trial of local hyperthermia therapy to the prostate.
Finally, as an application demonstration, we apply the fuzzy PI controller to control issue temperature, in computer simulation, during hyperthermia therapy.
Abstract Sixty-three cases of benign prostatic hypertrophy(BPH) in aged patients were treated with transurethral radiofrequency. The patients had been followed up for 2 to 6 months after treatment. The patients' maximum flow rate(MFR) and average flow rate(AFR) showed a siginficant increase after 2 months of treatment. The result of MFR and AFR after 6 months were the same as that after 2 months of treatment.Ultrasound measurement of the prostate did not show significant change after treatment. For this reason,...
A two-year follow-up study of 155 BPH patients treated with microwave hyperthermia was evaluated. All but 24 were subjectively improved as evaluated by the Madsen's score.Of the 93 cases, improvement in MFR was observed in 9.3% and a lessening of urine retention in 9.90% of 117 cases.21 patients(16.7%)needed repeated hyperthermia and 36 (28. 6 %) further medical care. 9 underwent surgery(open or TURP)and 5 (3.9 %) some other modalities such as laser, stent, etc. On questionaire,53 (34.2%) were satisfactory with...
Transrectal ultrasonography was carried out before hyperthermia therapy for 120 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia. The hyperplasia was classified into six degree according to the ultrasonographic findings, with 12 cases ofⅠ°,35 Ⅱ°,30 Ⅲ°A,35Ⅲ°B and 8Ⅳ°.Hyperthermia has been effective in Ⅰ°, Ⅱ° and in Ⅲ°A patients with maximum flow rate over 10ml/sec and the residual urine below 100ml. It was not effective of Ⅲ°B and Ⅳ°patients. The average conformation rate has been 83.8%.Adjuvant medical management or repe...
