It is inferred that the earthquakes in the area are caused probably by the action of additional horizontal tension. No significant variation of the composite nodal-plane solutions was found before the great Tangshan earthquake.

It deels with a number of factors, such as geological structure,crustal deformation,seismicity and geophysical field.In order to take quantitative evaluation for crust stability for the site of Liaoning nuclear power plant,six factors i. e. seismicity,deep faults,active faults,changing gradient of crustal thickness,gradient of crustal deformation and folded fault angles are taken as criteria of assessment and the fuzzy mathematic method is adopted. The research results showed that Xudapu village of Xincheng city or Wentuozi village of Wafangdian city could be considered as the selected site for nuclear power plant because they are situated in stable area and substable area respectively.

为了评价辽宁核电站工作区的区域地壳稳定性,本文选用地震活动、深断裂、活动断裂、地壳厚度变化梯度、地壳形变梯度和迭加断裂角六个定量化的环境因子作为评定标志,并用模糊数学的方法,对工作区内48个小区作了判别。结果表明,工作区可分出稳定区16个,次稳定区21个,不稳定区9个,活动区2个。两个预选厂址分别处在稳定区和次稳定区,都适合建核电站。
