The investigations were based on sulfide removal of tannery waste lime liquor and effluent, using MnSO 4 as catalyst of aeration. The ultrasound of 23.7kHz and 600W was used to enhance the treatment. It was found that proper sonication leads to considerable increase of sulfide removal rate and decrease of aeration duration.
