The phase transitions, thermal stabilities and crystal structures of strontium iodate, barium iodate, calcium iodate, zinc iodate and cadmium iodate have been investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction and thermal analyses. The possibilities of formation of complex compound between divalent iodates have been studied. This article presents a new electrolytic acidification method for preparing 12—Ceriummolybdenun heteropoly acid.The results of x— ray powder diffraction Pattern,infra-red spectrum and ultra Violet absorption spectro graph,etc.,are Similar with those prepared by ion- exchange method.Therefore,They are proven to be identical with each other.However,this methed is simpler,and production period shorter than that of ion-exchange method.It is applicable to the production on a large scale.
