The present work is concerned with the 21-6-9 cryogenic steel. The mechanical and physical propertiesas well as the structure stability have been studied systematically from room temperature to liquid he-lium temperature. The 21-6-9 steel makes a feature of strengthening by N and improved cryogenic magnetic pro-perties by Mn. It shows a desirable combination of high strength, high toughness at 4K. and higherantiferromagnetic temperature T_N. T_N is between 130-143 K, depending on the different methods ofmeasurement....

The present work is concerned with the 21-6-9 cryogenic steel. The mechanical and physical propertiesas well as the structure stability have been studied systematically from room temperature to liquid he-lium temperature. The 21-6-9 steel makes a feature of strengthening by N and improved cryogenic magnetic pro-perties by Mn. It shows a desirable combination of high strength, high toughness at 4K. and higherantiferromagnetic temperature T_N. T_N is between 130-143 K, depending on the different methods ofmeasurement. It has excellent magnetic stability below T_N. It was found that the magnetic permeability is between 1.0019-1.0025 from 300 to 4K. Resultsof the work show that the strain induced martensite transformation occurs during heavy deformationfrom 83 to 4K. The lath martensites were identified by magnetic metallography, by thin filmtransmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis to be of two types, i. e., hop ε-mar-tensite and boo a'martensite. No martensitic transformation took place during cooling.

The effect of hot working on deformation and recrystallization behavior of austenite and itstransformation structure in low carbon Mn-Nb steel has been studied. The effect of temperature, boundary condition, strain rate and forged ratio onthe σ-ε curves and substructures of the hot forged CaF_2 has been reported. The stress-strain curves of the hot forged CaF_2 show that the flowing stress of the stable forge decrea-ses with the increase of the temperature and the improvement of the lubricating conditionin the boundary region,and increases with the increase of the strain rates. The microstruc-tures of the hot forged CaF_2 have been examined by the optical microscopy....

The microstruc-tures of the hot forged CaF_2 have been examined by the optical microscopy. The size of thesubgrains decreases with the increasing forged ratio.But the grains were found surroundedby the strained fine grains upon the large forged ratio. In most cases, the microstructuresof samples forged at lower temperature have fine and uniform subgrains.During annealing,the recrystallization of the forged samples is initiated and grains are nucleated and growrapidly and encircle the strained fine-grained matrix. During the forging process the sam-ples exhibit some microstructure—the strain induced recrystallization microstructure orthe deformation microstructure.

本文叙述了在热锻氟化钙过程中,温度、形变速率、锻造比和边界润滑条件等因素对σ-ε曲线和次级结构的影响。热锻氟化钙的σ-ε曲线表明:稳态热锻流变应力随温度的增加或边界润滑条件的改善而减少,随应变速率的增加而增加。用光学显微镜检查了热锻氟化钙的微观组织。亚晶粒尺寸随锻造比的增加而减小,但发现氟化钙晶体在大锻造比时,产生局部的大晶粒。较低温度热锻的样品在大多数情况下,都是细而均匀的亚晶粒组织。锻造后的样品经退火,发生再结晶,晶粒成核长大,很快地进入并包围形变母体中细晶粒。实验表明:在锻造过程中,氟化钙锻件组织呈现显微结构——应变感生再结晶显微结构或形变显微结构。
