The surface adsorption and micelle formation of the mixed aqueous solutions of sodium perfluorooctanoate(7CFNa)and n-octyltrimethylammonium bromide (C_8NBr) have been investigated by studying the surface tension-concentration relations of the solutions. The surface adsorption and micelle formation of the mixed aqueous solutions of sodium perfluorooctanoate(7CFNa)and n-octyltrimethylammonium bromide (C_8NBr) have been investigated by studying the surface tension-concentration relations of the solutions. It has been found that (1)The surface activity of the mixed system is muoh higher than that of 7CFNa and C_8NBr. C_8NBr is a very effeotive synergist for 7CFNa in surface activity, and vice versa. (2)By applying Gibbs adsorption equation,the total amount of adsorption (Γ_T), the individual adsorption amount of the single surfactants (Γ_(7CF~-),Γ _(C_8)N~) and the average molecular areas of them have been calculated. The adsorption value (saturated, Γ_T~∞) increases by 54% as the molal ratio of 7CFNa-CΓ8NBr varies from 100:1 to 1:300. (3) From the adsorption data,it appears that the structure of surface layer of the 7CFNa-C_8NBr solutions is peouliar and quite different from that of the cationic-anionic hydrocarbon surfactants. Firstly, the molal ratio of the two components in the surface layer of the 1:1 mixed solution is not 1:1 (7CFNa is adsorbed preferentially). Secondly, the molecular area at the maximum adsorption is very small (22.7A~2).This could be attributed to the balanoing of the electrical attraction between positive and negative ions and the mutual phobicity between the fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon chains. It has been concluded that the saturated adsorption film would possibly have a double-layer structure: the upper layer consists of the oriented 7CF~-with the fluorocarbon chain toward the gaseous phase and the lower layer eonsists of randomly oriented C_8N~+with the positive ionic head attached to the negative ionic head of 7CF~-——thus the 7CF~- adsorption layer would behave as a platform for the adsorption of C_8N~+. (4) The limiting surface tension of the mixed solutions is very low (~15mNm~(-1)) even if the molal ratio of 7CFNa-C_8NBr is small, and so is the oil-water interfacial tension. Therefore it is capable of spreading the dilute aqueous solution on an oil surface (e. g., n-heptane and gasoline) and the 7CFNa-C_8 NBr mixture could be utilized as an efficient component in fire-extinguishing compositions.

A population of resmethrin-resistant Culex pipiens pollens Coq. was collected from Zhaibei district in Shanghai in 1978 and selected in consecutive breeding by treating the fourth instar larvae with resmethrin. The 56th generation of that population showed that the resistance to resmethrin, cismethrin and bioresmethrin was 960, 161 and 3,852 times that of the susceptible strain respectively as tasted in the laboratory. A population of resmethrin-resistant Culex pipiens pollens Coq. was collected from Zhaibei district in Shanghai in 1978 and selected in consecutive breeding by treating the fourth instar larvae with resmethrin. The 56th generation of that population showed that the resistance to resmethrin, cismethrin and bioresmethrin was 960, 161 and 3,852 times that of the susceptible strain respectively as tasted in the laboratory. The levels of cross-resistance to other pyrethroids of this generation ranged from 7 times for natural pyrethrin to 7,342 times for fenvalorate. Results from the experiments seem to indicate the important role played by the microsomal mixed function oxidase system when the synergist Pb is added to the pyrethroids in proportion of 1:1, The results from testing with the synergist TPP imply that esterase system is also involved in resistance fromation though the synergism of Pb is significantly stronger that that of TPP, Oom-parions have been made with results in relevant literature.

1978年秋末从上海闸北区采得淡色库蚊用苄呋菊酯选育获得高达960倍的抗性品系(Res品系),它对被测定的其它拟除虫菊酯具有不同程度的交互抗性,抗性倍数从7倍(天然除虫菊酯)至7,342倍(戊氰菊酯)。交互抗性大于90倍以上的是醇部位中带有3-苯氧基苄基的二氯苯醚菊酯及其顺、反异构体或醇部位中带有α-氰基-3-苯氧基苄基的溴氰菊酯和戊氰菊酯。具有高抗性的4种杀虫剂(包括苄呋菊酯)分别与增效剂增效醚(Pb)或磷酸三苯酯(TPP)以1:1的比例混用后的结果表明,抗性机制与多功能氧化酶和酯酶皆有密切关系,但氧化酶抑制剂增效醚(Pb)的增效效果明显地要强于酯酶抑制剂磷酸三苯酯(TPP)的增效效果。
