Excessive friction or even squeezing will occur between the rim and the inner side of the track when the space between them is too small. This will enhance the running resistance of the bridge crane or even cause out-of-track accidents. This paper analyzes the causes for excessive friction and presents solutions to thc problem.

As the application of mechanical seals is becoming popular, the failure of mechanical seals has become an important factor of unreliable operation of rotary machinery (centrifugal pumps) in petrochemical departments, etc. The end face friction of mechanical seals not only directly consumes energy, but also the loss caused by failed seal leakage due to excessive friction of end face is bigger. This paper studies the composition of power consumption of mechanical seal based on the tests, introduces the measuring method of frictional power of mechanical seal and analyses the variation of power consumption of mechanical seals under different opreating conditions, and finally proposes a way to reduce power consumption of mechanical seal and improve sealing performance and enhance operational reliability of mechanical seals.

随着机械密封应用的普及,机械密封的失效已成为石油化工等部门的回转机械(离心泵等)工作不可靠的重要因素,机械密封的端面摩擦不但直接消耗能源,而且,因端面摩擦过度而引起的密封失效泄漏所造成的损失则更大。本文在试验的基础上,研究了机械密封功率消耗的构成,介绍机械密封摩擦功率的测量方法,对机械密封在不同工况下功率消耗的变化进行了分析,提出了降低机械密封功率消耗和改善密封性能、提高机械密封的工作可靠性的途径。
