本文作者1979年应冶金部邀请访华。本文是他在北京所作学术报告纪录稿(本刊有删节)。文中介绍了美国汽车工业进入80年代后面临的挑战:燃油经济性,排气污染与安全等。说明为了满足政府对上述三项的规定,必需减轻汽车的自重,对制造汽车用的材料,将需要重新估计。进入80年代后,低合金高强度钢、铝及铝合金和塑料的使用将增加,给出增加的具体数字和制造的另件种类,指出使用高强度钢时需要注意其冲压成形性,并给出实例,最后介绍新型材料碳纤维组合材料的性能和使用。

The authors have conducted numerous tests on the properties of the TDE-85 trifunctional epoxy resin (Diglycidyl 4. 5-epoxy cyclohexane 112-dicarboxylate) which has been deve loped and first industrially emp- loyed in China as a matrix resin for fibre composite material; and the conclusion is: TDE-85 resin represents one of the more satisfactory matrix epoxy resins used both at home and abroad.

作者对近年来我国研制成功并首先投入工业化的TDE-35~#三官能度环氧树脂用作纤维复合材料时的性能作了大量的测试,并介绍了其用途。实验指出,该树脂是目前国内外已开发的用作基体材料的环氧树脂中各方面性能较好的一种。

An advanced finite element method for analysing the behavior of cracked sheets which are patched with a fibre composite material is described. The numerical procedure is based upon the previous work by R. Jones and other authors. An analysis of stress intensity factor and adhesive shear stress is presnted. The calculations and experimental results of fatigue crack growth show that the method and conclusions in this paper can be used as a theoretical base in design of crack patching by adhesive bonding.

对以纤维增强复合材料为补钉的含裂纹金属板的胶贴修补采用8结点等参元计算了胶贴修补后裂纹前缘应力强度因子及胶层剪应力分布等,并就补钉位置、刚度比及胶层厚度等因素对止裂效果的影响作了分析研究。通过修补前后裂纹扩展速率对比试验,验证了本文计算方法的正确性。方法及结论为实际结构的复合材料胶贴修补提供了理论依据。
