This paper studies the application of SMES (superconducting magnetic energy storage) technology in on-line steady state security monitoring and assessment of power systems. Unlike other applications of SMES in power systems, such as for energy storage or operating as power system stabilizers and so on, this new application takes advantage of the flexible energy output mode of SMES to generate periodic power signals with special waveform as a disturbance source, then oscillation modes on this operating condition can be excited without affecting power systems security. Through measuring and analyzing the frequency response curves at buses, the movement of system oscillation modes can be obtained while operating conditions of power systems vary, and the sequentially steady state security can be assessed. This project is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 50137020).

Based on the study and analysis of"The detailed regulations of protections for'The25key requirements for preventing the serious events of power system'"and the introduction of DGT801A's HW structure,self-diagnostic function and output modes,technical solutions with dup-lication mechanism are proposed,which fully satisfy the requirements of the Detailed Regulations.

To accomplish the testing of secondary equipments in power system a controllable power source based on the embedded system is designed in this paper. It can supply constant voltages and currents with high precision and high power and users can set the waveform parameters and output modes. The power source has been in a pre-operational test and the performance is good. The design of the system fabric the DSP control board the algorithm of waveform generating and the power amplifier are introduced.

为了满足电力系统二次设备的检测,本文设计了一种基于嵌入式系统的可控功率电源。其特点是可输出高精度、大功率的恒定电流和恒定电压;波形参数和输出变化方式可由用户控制调节。本电源已投入试运行阶段,工作状况良好。文中着重介绍了系统架构、DSP控制板、波形产生算法和功率放大器的设计。
