Structure of "bidirectional vibrator" and the condition of vibro-compaction test by using this vibrator are introduced. The test result shows that:by using this vibrator, holes may be formed faster and consolidated soil more uniform than using the former vibro-jetting method, and the standard penetration blow of the underwater soft foundation after being vibro-compacted & consolidated by this bidirectional vibrator is 4-5 times higher than that of natural foundation.
