Morphologies of gas diffusion layers fabricated by Acetylene Black, Vulcan XC-72, KetjenBlack EC 300 J and Black Pearls 2000carbons were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The performances of electrodes with different carbon powderswere compared at the loadings of 1.4 mg/cm2and 1.0 mg/cm2 respectively. It has been found that the electrode performanceincreases with the decreasing surface area of carbon powders. And there is an optimum carbon loading in the gas diffusionlayer. The electrode with 1.0 mg/cm2 Acetylene Black shows the best performance of 0.75 W/cm2.

研究了扩散层中过渡层所用碳粉的性质和担载量对质子交换膜燃料电池(PEMFC)性能的影响。采用扫描电镜对以AcetyleneBlack、VulcanXC-72、KetjenBlackEC300J和BlackPearls2000四种碳粉制备的扩散层表面形态进行了表征,并分别在1.40mg/cm2和1.00mg/cm2碳粉担量下比较了由这四种碳粉制备的扩散层的电极性能。在以AcetyleneBlack为过渡层碳粉材料时优化了碳粉的担量。实验结果表明随过渡层中所用碳粉比表面积的降低电极性能增加;过渡层中碳粉担量存在一个最佳值;担量为1.00mg/cm2的AcetyleneBlack制备扩散层的电极性能最好,最高比功率可达0.75W/cm2。
