The melt of Al_2O_3-Nd_2O_3-Y_2O_3 ternary system is a complex phase equilibrium involvingmany compounds,the doping of Nd leads to instability of the four-fold coordination ofaluminium in the YAG structure.Therefore, there is much difference between the crystalli-zation condition of YAG and that of sapphire.In consideration of the features in the growthof Nd:YAG crystals and the vertical solidification technique,a growing device and aheater have been appropriately designed, and in combination with the selection of growthparameters as well as careful preparation and treatment of starting materials,excellentNd_2YAG laser single crystals with more homogeneous Nd dopants,good optical perfection,less scattering particles and low dislocation density have been stably grown with success.

采用 Bridgman 方法,在金属凝固过程中引入一阶,二阶,三阶纵向稳态正弦振动,研究了凝固固液界面处液相中的温度分布规律。实验结果与静态凝固相比,振动改变了固液界面处液相中温度分布;提高了固液界面近邻液相的温度;并降低了固液界面处的温度梯度。实验还发现,采用凝固系统一阶共振频率施振时固液界面液相中的温度分布显著变化。
