The hardening reaction is very important for the utilization of the blank film. It can improve physical and mechanical properties of the film. However, for the imbibition blank film, it is also of great significance to know how the dye transfer printing properties are influenced by the hardening reaction, aside from the physical and mechanical properties. For this purpose the hardening value of the mordant containing layer was observed rather than the melting point of the film. The hardening value could be. determined by water extraction of the mordant-containing layer. The crosslinkage density of the layer was measured by chromium analysis using colorimetric method and neutron Activation method. The influence of the hardening value on the definition and the colour density of the film was also investigated. The tensile strength of the layer and the degree of swelling of the blank film, which was influenced by the addition of the hardening agent were also determined. The optimum definition of the layer was obtained and the relation between the definition and the crosslinkage density was also determined.

Methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate were emulsion copolymerized. The MMA-BA polymer was added to the mordant layer of the dye-transfer blank film as a partial substitute of gelatin, A twophase structure was established in the layer by SEM. The surface tension of polymer containing mordant layer showed that MMA-BA polymer may cause decrease of the surface tension in some extent depending on the quantity of the MMA-BA added.

染印法彩色电影具有色彩鲜艳、胶片制作简便、大量拷贝成本低、三废少等优点,因而染印法空白片是我国发行电影拷贝用得最多的片种之一。在空白片的媒染层中添加合适的共聚物部分取代明胶是改善空白片物理机械性能行之有效的方法之一。了解添加共聚物媒染层的形态和表面性能对染印法空白片的研究和生产具有重要的指导意义。本工作用甲基丙烯酸甲酯——丙烯酸丁酯共聚物(MMA—BA)部分取代媒染层中的明胶。借助扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察该体系的形态。定量估算了空白片的表面自由能及其随MMA—BA含量和表面活性剂浓度的变化,并就该体系的表面组成以及表面能变化的原因进行了讨论。

This work was conducted by using arapid and simple technique,scrape-loadingand dye transfer (SLDT) to study GJIC ofhuman stomach carcinoma MGC-803 cells incomparison with normal WB rat liver cells,Chinese hamster V 79 cells and a primaryculture of chicken embryonic myoblasts.Cellswere plated and grown overnight to conflue-ncy in 35 mm plastic dishes in appropriatemedia.Monolayered cells,after rinsing inPBS,were immersed in the mixed 0.05%Lucifer Yellow (MW 457.2) and 0.05%Rhodamine-Dextran (MW.10,000) in PBS.Scrape loading was performed by utilizationof a sharp knife.Cells were incubated in dyeSolution for an additional 3 min.at roomtemperature before rinsing with PBS ando bservation under fluorescent microscope.Cellscompetent in GJIC showed transfer of Lu-cifer Yellow from the injured border to inte-rior cells while the high MW.Rhodamine-Dextran dye stayed in situ in the loaded cells.Cells incompetent in GJIC did not show dyetransfer;both Lucifer Yellow and Rhodamine-Dtranex were retained in the original loadedcells of the injured border.The backgroundcell monolayer away from the scrape linewas dark indicating that none of the dyemolecules could permeate through cell mem-brane in the conditions described.It was foundthat human stomach carcinoma MGC-803cells lack GJIC;Chinese hamster V_(79) cellsshowed modest GJIC;WB rat liver cells andchick myoblasts showed marked GJIC.Thetumor promoter,TPA(1-100 ng/ml),inhibitsGJIC of the normal cells efficiently.An in-hibitor of calmodulin,Trifluoperazine (TFP)(5—20 μM),evidently increased the GJIC ofstomach carcinoma MGC-803 cells.Notewor-thy is that TFP in the dosage range used inSLDT experiments showed inhibitory effect oncell growth and DNA synthesis of MGC-803cells documented in parallel experiments.These results indicate that the lack of GJICin MGC-803 cells correlates with their un-controlled cell proliferation:the improvementof GJIC correlates with the inhibition of tu-mor cell proliferation. TPA inhibition of GJIC in normal cellsin this work confirmed previous reports.Interestingly,it was found that when V_(79)cells were treated with TFP and then shiftedto medium containing both TFP and TPA,GJIC was blocked.It is likely that TPAovercomes the effect of TFP on GJIC ofMGC-803 cells.These results provide furtherevidence for the role of GJIC in carcinoge-nesis,specially the tumor promotion phase.
