ESPRIT algorithm is a fast direction finding method with high resolution, but it is a 1 D method and can't be generalized to 2 D directly. This paper, based on a special array geometry, proposes a new 2 D direction finding method 2 D Virtual ESPRIT algorithm, whose low computation cost is comparable with to that of 1 D ESPRIT algorithm.

This paper introduces a new type of reflector mount array, which is designed for main amplifier of ICF laser driver in China. The whole system utilizes a special array structure, in compliance with the requirement of a small distance among each beam of the laser system. The one body joint drive structure and a flexible structure ensure the system with high adjusting accuracy and stability.
