The present work agrees with that Prof.Chun(1963)claimed that the affinity of this genus lies closer to the genera Michelia and Talauma macromorphologically, but so far as the wood structures are concerned,the present genus is quite similar to Michelia and less similar to Talauma.

Monophyletic origin of land plants, from Rhyniales to Trimerophytales and Zosterophyllales is the accepted idea by many paleobotanists. But the three lines of plants, Cooksonia Macrophyllophyta,Baragwanathia of Microphyllophyta and the articulated stem of Arthrophyta have been reported from the Uppermost Silurian. So we must recognize the three lines of origin of land plants. It is the well—known idea that the gymnospermovs Coniferales and Pteridospermales might have been derived from the Devonian Progymnospermopsida....

Monophyletic origin of land plants, from Rhyniales to Trimerophytales and Zosterophyllales is the accepted idea by many paleobotanists. But the three lines of plants, Cooksonia Macrophyllophyta,Baragwanathia of Microphyllophyta and the articulated stem of Arthrophyta have been reported from the Uppermost Silurian. So we must recognize the three lines of origin of land plants. It is the well—known idea that the gymnospermovs Coniferales and Pteridospermales might have been derived from the Devonian Progymnospermopsida. Pteridospermales might have been derived from the Progymnospermopsida, but Arehaeopleris, the Devonian represenlative plants of Progymnospermopsida, could not make the cones of Conifer-type. The most remarkable character of coniferous plants is to make cones. Archaeopteris has the multiseriate rays in their stem, which are the character of angiospermons Dicotsyledons. Therefore the Progymnospermopsida must not be ancester of Coniferalles.Three lines of Plants,Macrophyllophyta (with macrophylls),Microphyllophyta(with microphylls) and Arthrophyta (with articule stem) had changed their leaves (naked dichotomous branches to pinnate frond to simple leaf) neproductive organs (Spore to naked reed and to enclosed seed) and stem structures (tracheid to Vessel) through the ages in parallel. This means that in Macrophyllophyta Rhyniales changed to Trimerophytales, Progymnospermopsida,Pteridospermales and to Angiosperms; in Microphyllophyta Protolepidodendrales to Lepidodendrales and Coniferales; in Arthrophyta the articulated stem of Silurian to Calamitales and to Graminae. Therefore the origins of angiosperms must have been the two lines, one is Macrophyllophyta and the other is Arthrophyta. The fundamental cause of plant—evolution was the macroclimatic charge of increasing anorual range through ages.
