Victimization by peers at school has long-term impacts on students' mental health.
      


Mental health status was investigated in 632 urban students and 424 rural students using SCL- 90 and compiling psychic health background table. The results indicated that at least 23.6% of them relatively serious problems in psychology, such as obsession, sensitivity of people's relation, depression, paranoia, anxiety and hostility. Scores in SCL-90 for niral students were higher than for urban students. The scores for senior middle school students were higher than for junior middle school students. It was revealed that students in rural area and in senior middle schools had more problems in psychology. Multiple factor analysis showed that factors that were thought to influence mental health included history of positive individual risk behavior, family influences, physical conditions, grade, bad relations with others, sexual problems, poor self-assessment ability and address and so on.
