The light ones are larger in size, more numerous in number, containing larger mitochondria and obvious RER and SER, but less free ribosomes than the dark ones. Both of them may contain hemosiderin granules and the configuration of mitochondria enclosed by circular or semicircular RER cisternae.2. Bile canaliculus: Beside canaliculi between two adjacent liver cells, canaliculi situated between 3 or 4 liver cells are not infrequently revealed. That is due to the fetal liver cells are arranged in groups rather than in cords. The stereoscopic configurations of bile canaliculus and the tight junction surrounding it are demonstrated more clearly in freeze-fracture micrograph than that of the TEM. In addition, one intracellular bile canaliculus is found in the freeze-fracture preperation.3. The blood sinusoid and hemopoietic focus: In the 4-week fetus, the endothelium of the sinusoid can hardly be recognized While its lumen is quite large. Many erythrocytes accompanied by their immature components can be seen among it. As to the 32-week fetal liver, the endothelium and Kupffer cell may be easily recognized but the lumen of the sinusoid dimenishes enormously. The hemopoietic foci are localized extra-sinusoidially and in close contact with liver cells. Their volume exceeds one half of the fetal liver lobule before the age of 28 weeks, then it dimenishes gradually. In the space of Disse a fat storage cell is revealed.4. The portal canal : The mensenchyma and immature erythrocytes in the portal canal dimenishes with the increase of the fetal age. The portal canal is surrounded by the pigmented limiting plate cells of the liver lobules. The interlobular bile duct is differentiated from the limiting plate cells. Its epithelium is composed of both light and dark cells. The former is more numerous and contains many large mitochondria in its apical portion, while the latter shows higher electron density. Microvilli are located on the surfaces of both kinds of cells and finger like processes in the enlarged intercellular spaces are revealed.

The liver is slighly triangular, and very large in the animal body, weighing about 8~12kg in the adult. The liver of the animal are similar to that of horse in outward appearance with left, right and median (quadrate and caudate)lobes, but there are many fissures on visceral lamina of the liver. Histologicaly, the parenchyma also composed of liver lobles with radial pattern of the cellular plates and the sinusoids. Bilirubin granules are often seen in the cytoplasm of the liver cells. the liver, much like the spleen, has a collagenous capsule with inward extension. The capsule is thicker than that of the horse or the bovine animals. In the perilobular regions, there is a small amount of connective tissue. But within the area of portal canals, it forms a common thick sheath around the branches of the portal vein,the hepatic artery, and the bile duct. There also are large amount of bundles composed of dense collagenous fibers in the intercalated vein walls. The supporting tissues of the liver parenchyma are a network of reticular fibers between the sinusoid lining and the hepatic cell plates as well as a little bundles of collagenous fibers round the central vein. Under electron microscope,the authors found that the lining layer of the sinusoids formed with the endothelial cells is thicker than that of most mammals, including man.The endothelial cells have relatively few mitochondria, yet pinocytotic vesicles, filaments, and microtubules are great many in the cells. The space of Disse is obvious. The cytoplasm of the liver cells contains numerous organellae and inclusins. The authors still found that there are“Iight cells”that containing a number of smooth endoplasmic reticulum in the hepatocellular group of the animals.

用光镜与电镜研究了我国35例双峰驼肝的解剖与组织结构。肝略呈三角形,体大,重达8~12kg,其外观和马肝相似,都分为左叶、右叶和中叶(包括方叶和尾叶),但脏面有不少沟裂。组织上肝也由肝小叶组成。肝细胞浆中常有胆红素颗粒。肝被膜厚似脾并向内伸入。小叶周围区的结缔组织不多,但在门管区的小叶间动脉、静脉和胆管外周,结缔组织则形成厚鞘。小叶下静脉壁也有大量胶原纤维束。小叶内肝实质的支持组织包括狄氏间隙的网状纤维和中央静脉近周的胶原纤维束。电镜发现,窦状隙内皮细胞衬里层较厚,细胞浆中线粒体很少,而吞饮泡和微丝、微管却相当多。狄氏间隙明显。肝细胞含大量细胞器和内含物。作者还发现肝细胞群中有滑面内质网较多的“明细胞”,推测这种细胞同白蛋白的合成有关。
