The results obtained show : 1.The lower limit of the explosibility of coal dust clouds is closely related to the volatile matter content...

For determining the lower limit of explosibility of coal dust cloud in laboratory,the authors have designed an apparatus capable of uniformly producing such clouds.The effect of fineness of coal dust, methane and stone dust on the lower limit of the explosibility of coal dust clouds has been investigated on a number of samples taken from several coalfields. The results obtained show : 1.The lower limit of the explosibility of coal dust clouds is closely related to the volatile matter content in coal. The higher the volatile matter content, the lower is the lower limit of explosibility. The brown coal with 39-44 per cent volatile matter has a lowest lower limit of explosibility, being 45-55g/m~3 The coal dust with volatile mat-ter less than 10 per cent is not inflammable.2.The methane content in coal dust cloud can cause the decrease in lower limit of its explosibility. The lower the volatile matter content in coal dust, the greater is the effect of the methane on the lower limit of its explosibility.3. The stone dust is capable of suppressing the explosion of coal dust clouds. When the coal dust from Lung Feng Colliery was mixed with 75 per cent stone dust, it lost its inflammability entirely.

Furtherfore, the ratio of mean tidal ranges for two harbors, being built and original, during the identical set-up anp set-down of water was used to correct the value, k, thus a method which can calculate more accurate calibrated water level was obtained. this me- thod is of great significance to the engineerings for high elevation, such as the designs of nuclear power station and so on

本文分析了“短期同步差比法”推算设计水位可能产生较大误差的原因,提出分别用拟建港和主港的同步高(高高)潮和同步低(低低)潮相关分析推算设计水位的方法,并用实际资料做了验证。此外,还提出用同一增、减水过程中拟建港和主港日平均潮位变差的比来订正k值,从而推算较准确的校核水位的方法。这一方法对高标高工程如核电站等的设计具有较大意义。
