The differences between the submarine slope stability problems and those on land are pointed out first, and the marine slope stability analysis is then described in detail with respect to geometry and loading. Since the wave effect is the most important feature of the submarine slope, different methods for calculating the wave induced bottom pressures as well as the cyclic response of the seabed, including both transient and residual pore pressures, are reviewed. Three different methods for stability analysis, i.e. limit equilibrium analysis, static deformation analysis and dynamic analysis,and their respective applications are discussed. The post failure behaviour of the submarine slope is especially complicated,so the possibility of using the rheological model to predict the flow properties is indicated. Finally, some research projects on this subject are proposed.

Low cycle fatigue property, cyclic hardening and softening of 8090 Al-Li alloys at various aging conditions were studied. Low cycle fatigue property, cyclic hardening and softening of 8090 Al-Li alloys at various aging conditions were studied. The results showed that cyclic response stress in the same aging condition increased with increasing strain amplitude, and aging condition had a little influence on cyclic deformation at low strain amplitude but the influence increased with raising strain amplitude. The characteristics of low cyclic fatigue and cyclic hardening and softening of the alloy were closely related to dislocation morphology, size of precipitate, PFZs along grain boundaries and fracture appearance.

The cyclic response and fatigue resistance characteristics of 5 typical domestic aluminum alloys of three different series,which all are prospective for use in high speed railway passenger car body,have been analyzed and discussed based on axial strain controlled fatigue tests in the aspects of cyclic response level,fatigue cracking resistance and absorbed energy.The relationship between absorbed failure energy and fatigue life is established and analyzed.The observed phenomenon that both 7000 series alloys tested soften cyclically at smaller plastic strain amplitude and harden at larger plastic strain amplitude is explained.The fatigue test results have also shown the effect of strengthening mechanism and confirmed the presence of a break in the fatigue life curve in age hardened aluminum alloys.

本文从材料的循环响应水平、疲劳开裂阻力、疲劳耗散能量等角度,对可能用于我国高速客车车体的3个系列5种典型国产铝合金的循环特性与疲劳抗力进行了分析和讨论。建立和描述了疲劳断裂能与寿命的关系。阐述了观察到的两种7000系列合金在小塑性应变幅下循环软化,而在大塑性应变幅下循环硬化的现象。疲劳试验结果还显示了强化机制的影响,证实了时效强化合金疲劳寿命曲线的双斜率的存在。
