Scaeva selenitica Meigen is one of important natural enemy of larch gall ahid (Adelges laricis Vallot). In 1993, the research have been done about its development start temperature and effective accumulated temperature of egg, larva and pupa. The results show, Egg stage: C=6. 04±1. 61℃, K = 40. 55±2. 62 day℃; Larva stage: C1-2=4. 91± 4. 84℃,K1-2 = 68. 02±35 day℃,C3= 9. 56±0. 74℃, K3=36. 81±9. 72 day℃; pupa stage: C=8. 06±2. 35℃, K=40. 51±26. 08 day℃.

The developmental starting temperature of cochineal is 16.7 ℃, while at nearly 30 ℃ the development is the fastest, and the ideal temperature for cultivating cochineal is 2630 ℃. Rainfall is the main effect that influences cultivation of cochineal. Carmine produced from cochineal has been used widely in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutics industry. The host plant of cochineal, cactus pear, also has many utilizations. Peru and Canary Islands are the main countries that produce cochineal , now, cutting cladodes are used for cochineal production in sheds. At the same time , the prospects is also proposed in this article. 

应用积温理论,使油松、侧柏种子在15℃、20℃和25℃条件下恒温萌发,测定其萌发率及萌发天数。结果表明,油松、侧柏种子萌发的生物学起点温度均为10℃;油松种子萌发的有效积温为90℃,侧柏为100℃;提出了油松、侧柏种子萌发需时的预测方法。
