This effect can be used to determine the vertically-integrated precipitation.The method commonly used by radar meteorologists is based on the effect of signalbackscattering by precipitation particles,which can measure the vertical profiles of precipi-tation. In this work a new method is proposed to estimate rain rate from the relative returnpower shapes. This method possesses two main advantages:(1)no need of altimeter abso-lute calibration and(2)no ambiguity of precipitation estimates.

Moreover, the IWV derived from GPS is compared with the observed surface integrated precipitation hour by hour. The comparison of GPS derived IWV and integrated surface precipitation indicates that there is a good coincidence between them. The variation period of GPS IWV is similar to that of surface precipitation. From the time series of IWV estimated from GPS, the accumulating and releasing processes of water vapor are obvious.

Recombinant human tumor necrosis factor alpha (rhTNF α) was released from Escherichia coli by bead mill. Further purification was tested by eight types of integrated precipitation with ammonium sulphate, utilizing the heat stability of rhTNF. The best result is that the ratio of rhTNF α to total protein is 57% and the recovery rate of rhTNF and its activity are 90 3% and 85 8%, respectively.
