In order to solve the problem, the authors have analyzed the control program of printer TPMP, and advanced a new method for interrupt processing, so that the sampling operation can be proceeded during the process of printing. In the forward path of print head, the TP801P micro-printer molopolizesthe CPU, so it can not meet the needs of real-time sampling processing. In order to solve the problem, the authors have analyzed the control program of printer TPMP, and advanced a new method for interrupt processing, so that the sampling operation can be proceeded during the process of printing. A special test routine has been programmed and run with the micro-printer. The result is satisfactory. The new method makes full use of the time for each printing-pin waiting for the edge of synchronizing signal wave form to implement interrupt processing of sample. If the execution time of the interrupt service routine is less than 0.3 ms, no addition of hardware is needed, but the TPMP must be modified; if the time is longer, for example, 0.6 ms, the processing of dualrequest interruption may be used, i. e. double interrupt processing can be performed during the time when printing-pin waits twice for the edge of synchronizing signal wave form. With two channels in the Z80—CTC, dual request interrupt operation mode can be implemented easily. Therefore, this new method enables the non-intelligent and cheap matrix micro-printers to be used more efficiently in the real-time control system, data-acquisitions and data-processing system as well as intelligent instruments.
