Technical communication is a new approach developed from ESP.It integrates language and technical language,writing skills,computer skills and editing & design skills,which offers useful implications for English teaching to senior college students in China.This paper stresses the importance of developing comprehensive language abilities in senior college students by applying theme-based approach in English teaching with a combination of oral defense conducted in English and finally discusses the practicality of the materials chosen and requirements for the teachers in implementation of the approach. 专业交际学 (TechnicalCommunication简称TC)是建立在专用英语 (ESP)研究基础上的新型专用英语教学法。专业交际英语把语言知识、专业知识、写作技巧、电脑操作技术和编辑设计技巧系统地结合起来 ,从资料的收集、信息处理、论文撰写、编辑设计到最后的口头报告 ,形成了一个完整的知识体系。这对于我国大学英语高级阶段的教学具有重要的指导和借鉴意义。文章试图借鉴专业交际学的做法 ,从新修订的大学英语教学大纲提出的新的教学目标入手 ,提出在大学高年级以主题模式开展英语教学 ,并辅之以用英文进行论文答辩以相配合 ,旨在培养学生综合运用语言的能力 ,最后讨论了上述教学对任课教师的要求。 The experimental stage of The Use of Open Education in Human Resources Training Reform, a pilot program carried out by the China Central Radio and Television University and endorsed by the Ministry of Education, has now been completed. At this time, the emphasis has shifted to assessment and quality assurance with a view to enhance the educational quality of modern open and distance learning (ODL). This paper attempts to survey different definitions of the concept "quality" and suggests that the ultimate objective... The experimental stage of The Use of Open Education in Human Resources Training Reform, a pilot program carried out by the China Central Radio and Television University and endorsed by the Ministry of Education, has now been completed. At this time, the emphasis has shifted to assessment and quality assurance with a view to enhance the educational quality of modern open and distance learning (ODL). This paper attempts to survey different definitions of the concept "quality" and suggests that the ultimate objective of ODL is to provide higher education for all. A framework for the educational quality of ODL is outlined with reference to the features of ODL, which include diversity and flexibility. This framework has also taken into account the ideas of modern curriculum theory, the laws of modern ODL and the concept of quality management in manpower training. This paper points out that curriculum implementation is more than teaching. Besides, quality control in teaching should be based on pre-learning diagnosis. Coursework should only be regarded as a part of formative assessment but not its entirety. The degree examination and the oral defense should provide a number of options for students. This paper is expected to provide some preliminary reflections on the issue of teaching quality in ODL. 本文联系教育部批准的“中央广播电视大学人才培养模式改革和开放教育试点”的实际,在经历了“理解试点”和“理解评估”之后,又对项目试点的质量进行理解。因为“试点”与“评估”、其最终目的都是为了提高现代远程开放教育的质量。在比较现有教育质量不同定义的基础上,突出远程开放教育质量的基本特征应是大众化高等教育的服务性很有必要。在多层面地论述了远程开放教育多样性、相对性、整体性和适应性的质量内涵之后,本文初步勾勒出相应的质量标准制定的原则框架。并依据现代课程理念和远程开放教育的规律和特点,从人才培养的角度,对人们较为关注的“课程实施不应只有教学意识,课程教学质量的监控应以‘学前诊断’为前提,平时作业不是完整的课程学习形成性考核,以课程为主的学历文凭考试与学位论文的撰写答辩应有不同要求并由学习者自主选择”等教学质量管理思路进行了初步的、反思性的探究。 The undergraduate course thesis writing and teaching is one of key practical procedures in the program of the reform of talents training model and open education in RTVUs.The leaders, the teachers or the students need to correct some misunderstandings and strengthen the management in writing process. Some effective measures such as tide selecting,guiding,checking and oral defense are required to be taken. Only in this way can the practical talents be guaranteed. 毕业论文教学是电大开展"人才培养模式改革和开放教育试点"教学管理模式改革中的一个重要实践环节。学校从领导到教师和学生必须解决认识上的一些误区,并加强对选题、指导、评阅、答辩等具体环节与措施的管理。只有这样,才能保证电大高级实用型人才的培养质量。
