Growth and development of the three hybrids DR, ER and SRhas faster, body weight of 300 days of age reached 1.92, 1.98 and 1.99 kg respectively. 2. The three hybrids DR, ER and SR exhibided hybrid vigor. They laid 68. 7, 58.7 and 58.3 eggs respectively to 300 days of age. DR hybrid showed the strongest vigor. It laid 19 eggs more than the average of the parental components, the difference is highly significant(p<0.01). 3. Egg weight of the three hybrids DR, ER and SR was 59.7, 61.7 and 57.4g,all of these data are higher than the average of the parental components. But the difference is not significant, that means no hybrid rigor is present. 4. Livability of the three hybrids DR, ER and SR are similar during the rearing period. During the laying period, livability of DR is the highest, and then ER and SR accordingly. 5. Shell thickness, specific gravity of egg, Shell color, egg shape index o the three hybrids DR, ER and SR are intenmediate between the two parents, but alittle higher than the highe rmale parent. Shell thickness and specific gravity of egg are normal, shell color is light brown and egg shape is alittle oblong. 6. Albumin height, Haugh units of the three hybrid DR, ER and SR are 7.7, 8.4, 7.1mm or 87.2, 90.7, 84.6 respectively intermediate between the two parents, but a little inclined to the lower male parent. 7. Blood and meat spots in eggs of rhe three hybrid DR, ER and SR are 25.6, 12.5, 34.6% or 15.4, 56.3 and 42.3% respectively, intermediate between the two parents, but a little inclined to the higher female parent.

Beginning from 1977, a slow feathering gene detected from our egglaying R-line was segregated and both rapid and slow feathering strains were then developed. Rapid feathering males were mated with SloW-fea-thering females. Crossed day-old chicks were differentiated according to their measured lengths of flight feathers. A total of 1007 baby chicks from six hatches were examined. All slow feathered chicks were males, and 98% of the rapid feathered chicks were females, whith an average accuracy of 99%. Additional informations were supplemented on feather typing and measurement with accompanying phtographs. Four chicken hybrids were obtained and their growth and development, livability and egg production were observed. The number of eggs, eggshell quality and feed conversion of hybrids exhibited highly singnificant heterosis. No singnificant difference between hybrids and control strains were observed in livability of rearing and adult stages. Tbe egg production of four crossing combinations were similar, with hybrids DR and NR excellent. According to the results of tests, We recommend that hybrid DR Which is called "sex-linked I" should be populated.

从1971年起就快慢羽的遗传方式,品系选育,自别雌雄杂种鸡的羽型,生产性能和配合力等进行了研究。(1)研究确认,初生雏主翼羽生长快慢主要受性染色体K位点上的基因所控制,故利用伴性遗传原理生产自别雌雄杂种鸡准确性很高。(2)经表型分群,基因型测交和快慢羽系各自纯繁,已选育出纯合的慢羽品系R—1系和快羽品系R—2系。两系羽型截然不同,并可稳定地遗传给后代。(3)用洛岛红慢羽R—1系作母本,分别与白来航快羽D、E、S和N作父本,杂交后子一代慢羽者100%为公雏,快羽者98%以上为母雏,准确率极高。(4)根据主翼羽和覆主翼羽的相对长度区分快羽和慢羽,杂种雏鸡共分5个类型,实际鉴别时可归纳为3个类型。(5)杂种鸡的生长发育均较快,各组育成期和产蛋期成活率相仿。(6)杂种鸡的产蛋量,蛋壳质量和蛋料比表现出高度显著的杂种优势。(7)综合各项生产性能以NR、DR为更好,根据2年的重复测定,选择DR以“自别1号”向外推广。

The slow feathering line was formed by identified slow feathering males and females.Within a total of 568 cross-bred day-old chicks produced by mating slow feathering females of white chengdu with rapid feathering males of Beijing white Leghorn line Ⅱ and Ⅲ the percentage of auto-sexed chicks,which were examined anatomically,was 99.13% on an average.

1982年我室就成都白鸡羽型,快,慢羽纯系的选育、K(慢)、k(快)基因频率及杂种鸡羽速自别雌雄的准确率等进行了研究。按主翼羽和覆主翼羽生长状况,该鸡种初生雏羽型分为:快羽一型,慢羽三型。K(慢),k(快)基因频率分别为0.1602和0.8398。表型鸡经测交,纯繁选育出成都白鸡快,慢羽两个品系。以成都白鸡慢羽母鸡同快羽京白公鸡杂交,其杂种鸡羽速自别雌雄的准确率为99.13%。
