The contents of Si, A1, Fe~(3+), Mg and K in the biotite increase; Fe~(2+), A1, and OH decrease; and Mg/ Fe~(2+) increases from 1.00 to 2.18 with the metamorphic degree increasing. The biotite metamorphic temperature of the middle Anshan Group is 556-620℃, the pressure is less than 5×l0~8Pa; but that of the upper Anshan Group is 450-500℃, the pressure is less than 5×10~8Pa. The iron-bearing coefficient (f) of biotite may be used as a mark of searching for iron-rich ore bodies in Anshan area.
