The zimenqiao Formation silicolites of Lower Carboniferous is the country rock of Changkeng Au-Ag deposit. In the silicolites at this area, the lamellar, vesicular and contemporaneous brecciated structure are very developed. The compositions of major, trace and rare earth elements for the silicolites are similar to those of many famous hydrothermal silicolites,such as Sullivan hydrothermal sedimentary rock in Canada. The Changkeng silicolites are of hot water deposit genesis.
