The industrial belt on the northerh slope of Tianshan Mts. is the most flourishing eco nomic region in Xinjiang. Most of the industrial enterprises of the region are located in six cities which are Urumqi, Changji, Shihezi, Kuytun, Karamay and Bole. The industrial struc ture of the six cities is analyzed based on the reference of the industrial development in Xin jiang with the shift-share rnethod. According to the statistics of the industrial output values of the six cities during a period from 1986 to 1991,...

During the period of 1986 - 1991, the speed of industrial economic increase was faster in Urumqi, Changji and Bole, the same in Kuytun and Karamay, and slower in Shihezi than the average speed of industrial economic increase in Xinjiang.2. The industrial structure in Urumqi and Karamay is fine. However, it should be revised in Changji, Kuytun, Bole and Shihezi.3. The competitive force in Chang ji and Bole is strong, then in Kuytun,Karamay and U rumqi, and it is weak in Shihezi. 4. The dominant industries of the six cities are as follows: mainly engineering industry and subsidiarily chemical and metallurgical industries in Ururnqi; mainly building material industry and subsidiarily textile and leather industries in Changji; mainly textiIe industry and subsidiarily food and engineering industries in Shihezi; mainly food industry and subsidiarily textile and power industries in Kuytun ; mainly oil industry and subsidiarily chemical and en gineering industries in Karamay;and mainly textile industry and subsidiarily food and build ing material industries in Bole.

本文选择新疆区域工业发展为参照系,用shift-share方法对天山北麓工业带6城市工业增长与工业经济结构进行分析,从动态角度判别各城市工业结构的优劣及存在问题并揭示其原因,提出发展方向。
