G(?)aft copolymerization onto textile fibres is an interesting new research field with promising future. This is an attractive method for chemists to modify chemically natural and synthetic macromolecules. Graft copolymerization of vinyl monomers onto silk fibres has received considerable attention. A veriety of property modification can be imparted to silk through grafting without destroying its st(?)ucture. Various methods have been used for grafting vinyl monomers onto silk. The most important ones are:1. The metal ion and metal-redox systems include a. tetravalent ce(?)ic ion, b. quinquivalent vanadium and vanadium (V)-thiourea redox system, c. hexavalent chromium, d. potassium permanaganate and permanaganate-oxilic acid redox system, e. ferric-thiourea and ferric-cystine redox system.2. The non-metal ion and non-metal ion-redox systems include a. hydrogen peroxide, sodium thiosulfate redox system, b. peroxydisulfate, c. peroxydiphosphate, peroxydiphosphate-thiourea and peroxydiphosphate-2-amino ethane thiol redox system, d. bromate-thiourea redox system.3. Other methods include a. vapor-phase initiation, b. radiation and c. photoiniation. All graft systems have been reviewed in this paper.

Our experimental results disproved the past traditional view on the mechanical stability of rubber latex enhanced with oxygen.It is suggested that the mechanical stability drastically enhanced with oxygen is not due to the direct reaction of rubber molecules with hydrogen peroxide but due to the reaction of active oxygen liberated from hydrogen peroxide under the action of catalase and the alkaline medium of rubber latex.This oxygen promotes the latex lipids hydrolysis,from which more higher fatty...

Our experimental results disproved the past traditional view on the mechanical stability of rubber latex enhanced with oxygen.It is suggested that the mechanical stability drastically enhanced with oxygen is not due to the direct reaction of rubber molecules with hydrogen peroxide but due to the reaction of active oxygen liberated from hydrogen peroxide under the action of catalase and the alkaline medium of rubber latex.This oxygen promotes the latex lipids hydrolysis,from which more higher fatty acid ammonium soaps are formed.Futhermore, some of the unsaturated higher fatty acids are converted into hydroxy-acids under the effect of oxygen. As these acids are more hydrophilic and part of the higher fatty acids containing more carbon atoms are decar-boxylized due to oxidation to become higher fatty acids containing less carbon atoms, the mechanical stability of concentrated latex is further enhanced.

Graft polymerization of sodium salt of 6-sulfohexyl methacrylate (SSHMA) or sodium salt of 8-sulfo-octyl methacrylate (SSOMA) onto segmented polyether urethane (SPEU) film was investigated.Graft reaction included two steps: f irst,hydroperoxide group was introduced onto the surface of SPEU through photo-oxidation in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, then it was reduced by ferrous ion to initiate sulfoalkyl methacrylate grafting on SPEU surface. The effect of the concentration of sulfoalkyl methacrylate, the concentration of ferrous ion and reaction temperature on the graft polymerization was discussed. The grafted films posses higher percentage of water absorption and anticoagulant activity than the ungrafted SPEU film. The salient micrographs on surface of grafted film were taken by scanning electronic microscope.

本文对两种新合成的亲水性单体,甲基丙烯酸已磺酸钠和甲基丙烯酸辛磺酸钠在聚醚氨酯膜上接枝聚合进行了研究。其反应分两步:首先,在过氧化氢存在下,将膜进行光氧化,引入过氧化氢基团;然后,在还原剂亚铁盐作用下,引发甲基丙烯酸烷基磺酸酯接枝聚合。单体浓度、亚铁盐浓度、反应温度对接枝速率均有影响。接枝膜与基膜相比,吸水率与抗凝血性能均有提高。辛酯接枝膜的抗凝血性能显得更好。用扫描电镜可观察到膜上接枝物的图象。
