A new method for the determination of trace copper has been developed by means of the catalysis of copper (Ⅱ) to reaction, using resorcin and hydroquinone as reductants and hydrogen peroxide as oxidant and ammonium salts as activator. For the oxidized products are in colors of red-orange and yellow-orange respectively, it is convenient to determine them with a spectrophotometer. For determination at 486 nm, Bear's law is obeyed for O to 50 μg/l of copper (Ⅱ). The empirical formula, C_i′=k_i~TA_i~T-3.0,...

For the oxidized products are in colors of red-orange and yellow-orange respectively, it is convenient to determine them with a spectrophotometer. For determination at 486 nm, Bear's law is obeyed for O to 50 μg/l of copper (Ⅱ). The empirical formula, C_i′=k_i~TA_i~T-3.0, is derived from the experimental data and using linear regression analysis, so that the trace copper (Ⅱ) is able to be determined directly in various room temperatures. The lowest concentration of determinable copper (Ⅱ) is 0.5 μg/l and the minimum detection limit is 7.5 ng (15 ml of 0.5 μg/l solution). Most metal cations and common anions do not interfere in the measurement when thier concentration is less than 100 μg/l.

本文提出了以间苯二酚和对苯二酚作还原剂,以过氧化氢作氧化剂,以铵盐为活化剂,利用铜(Ⅱ)对反应的催化作用测痕量铜的新方法。其氧化产物分别为红橙色和黄橙色。因此适宜于用分光光度法测定之。在486毫微米测量时,0~50微克/升的铜(Ⅱ)符合比尔定律。依据实验数据与线性回归分析归纳出了经验公式C_i′=k_i~TA_i~T-3.0,使得可在各种室温下直接测量痕量铜。本方法可测得的最低铜(Ⅱ)浓度为0.5微克/升,检测限量为7.5纳克(15毫升含铜(Ⅱ)0.5微克/升的溶液)。大部分常见的阴离子和金属离子在其浓度小于100微克/升时不干扰测量结果。
